Augustine

A story

Augustin the green woodpecker has donned his emerald and ruby-hued livery and is getting ready to adorn a window with his elegant silhouette, perched on his branch of arabesques.

He measures 21.5 cm x 7 cm (from the top of his head to the tip of his tail), while the arabesques measure 30 cm in height.

A piece of fine craftsmanship

Handmade in my studio in the Périgord, this stained glass is crafted using the Tiffany technique, from translucent and semi-opalescent glass, chosen for their richness of texture and light. Each element is assembled with copper, tin, and lead, following artisanal expertise.

The glass may show fine streaks or small air bubbles: these are natural characteristics of its manufacture, which make it so charming.
